Anterior Cervical Fusion

For patients who aren’t candidates for arthroplasty, Dr. Hatef offers traditional anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) to treat neck and arm pain.

ACDF has been used since the 1950s to treat cervical disc disease and has an outstanding record of safety and efficacy. The anterior approach - through the front of the neck - avoid cutting the large muscles in the back of the neck and has a much faster recovery. It also allows Dr. Hatef to directly access the herniated disc and bone spurs and completely decompress your nerves.
