Aneurysm Clipping
For aneurysms that are not candidates for endovascular treatment, Dr. Hatef offers microsurgical clipping of brain aneurysms.
Surgery for aneurysms is a craniotomy surgery. A window is made through the skull to allow Dr. Hatef to identify and expose the aneurysm. Then, with careful microsurgical technique, he places a titanium clip on the aneurysm, preventing it from filling with blood and preventing rupture.
Despite the invasiveness of the procedure, Dr. Hatef still believes in minimally disruptive techniques. Minimal hair is removed and the skin is closed with absorbable sutures. The incision always remains behind your hairline and is nearly imperceptible once completely covered by your hair.
